TRNAQ2 FISH Probe
The TRNAQ2 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the TRNAQ2 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
Mammalian cells contain at least 2 species of glutamine tRNA, the Gln(CUG) form (TRQ1; MIM 189919) and the Gln(UUG) form. Nemoto et al. (1991) [PubMed 2041751] reported the nucleotide sequence of the human tRNA(Gln/UUG) gene. In a correction, Nemoto et al. (1991) [PubMed 2041751] stated that the gene involved should have been designated tRNA-GLN/U*UG, where U* is a derivative of U.[supplied by OMIM, Sep 2009]
