Custom FISH Probes
With access to the entire RP11 BAC library, Empire Genomics is capable of developing custom fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) probes. Custom FISH probes can contain up to four fluorescent dyes and can be produced in lot sizes that meet your specific requirements. Depending on the complexity of your design and the number of BAC clones required, turn around time typically ranges from 7-14 business days.
Pre-Designed FISH Probes
Gene-Specific FISH Probes hybridize to a precise gene location. They are designed to be used with a control probe unless a dual-color probe is selected. Probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei.
Disease specific probes are designed to hybridize to the precise location of genes associated with specific diseases, and contain multiple RP11 clones. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads.
Chromosome Control Probes are made to hybridize to the peri/centromeric region of a chromosome. They are often used to enumerate chromosomes and can be used as a control to help determine whether another probe is hybridizing to the correct chromosome.
