With Renewed Growth, Empire Genomics Hires New CEO
Empire Genomics has brought on a new leadership team with deep experience in the molecular genomics industry. The Amherst-based company has chosen Andy Watson as its chief executive officer and Anthony Scarpello as chief commercialization officer. Watson previously ran genomics startup Genturi while Scarpello was promoted from vice president of sales and business development. Longtime Empire Genomics CEO Anthony Johnson resigned last year amidst changes for the company, which moved out of its downtown Buffalo headquarters and settled into larger space at 1000 Youngs Road in Amherst.February 20th, 2019
