TMEM189 FISH Probe
The TMEM189 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the TMEM189 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
Co-transcription of this gene and the neighboring downstream gene (ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 variant 1) generates a rare read-through transcript, which encodes a fusion protein comprised of sequence sharing identity with each individual gene product. The protein encoded by this individual gene lacks a UEV1 domain but includes three transmembrane regions. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2009]
