STX18 FISH Probe
The STX18 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the STX18 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the syntaxin family of soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptors (SNAREs) which is part of a membrane tethering complex that includes other SNAREs and several peripheral membrane proteins, and is involved in vesicular transport between the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and the Golgi complex. The encoded protein is important for the organization of the smooth, rough, and exit site ER subdomains. A pseudogene of this gene has been identified.
