SNORD7 Break Apart FISH Probe
Empire Genomics’ SNORD7 Break Apart FISH Probe is designed to flank the SNORD7 gene and is typically used for detecting SNORD7 rearrangements such as translocations. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe comes labeled in orange and green by default, but may be customized to meet your needs.

Gene Summary
This gene encodes a spliceosomal small nuclear RNA that has orthologs in S. pombe and D. melanogaster. In S. pombe, this gene is required for site-specific 2'-O-methylation of U6 snRNA at position A41. While this is not an essential gene for S. pombe growth, loss of this gene's function may result in a slight decrease in mRNA splicing efficiency. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]
