SNORA56 FISH Probe
The SNORA56 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the SNORA56 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
Biosynthesis of stable cellular RNAs such as tRNAs, rRNAs, snRNAs, and snoRNAs is aided by covalent nucleotide modification after transcription. The modified nucleotides are involved in correct RNA folding, establishment of correct RNA-RNA and RNA-protein interactions, and in the correct function of mature RNAs. The RNA encoded by this gene is thought to mediate the pseudouridylation of residue U1664 of 28S rRNA. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]
