SGPP2 Break Apart FISH Probe
Empire Genomics’ SGPP2 Break Apart FISH Probe is designed to flank the SGPP2 gene and is typically used for detecting SGPP2 rearrangements such as translocations. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe comes labeled in orange and green by default, but may be customized to meet your needs.

Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a transmembrane protein that degrades the bioactive signaling molecule sphingosine 1-phosphate. The encoded protein is induced during inflammatory responses and has been shown to be downregulated by the microRNA-31 tumor suppressor. Alternative splice variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]
