SERTAD3 FISH Probe
The SERTAD3 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the SERTAD3 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene was identified in a yeast two-hybrid assay employing the second subunit of human replication protein A as bait. It is localized to the nucleus and its expression is significantly higher in cancer cell lines compared to normal cell lines. This protein has also been shown to be a strong transcriptional co-activator. Alternative splicing has been observed at this locus and two variants, both encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
