POC1B-GALNT4 FISH Probe
The POC1B-GALNT4 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the POC1B-GALNT4 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
This locus represents naturally occurring transcripts that splice the 5' exons of the POC1B (POC1 centriolar protein homolog B) gene on chromosome 12 to the GALNT4 (UDP-N-acetyl-alpha-D-galactosamine:polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 4) gene, which is located within a POC1B intron. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants, one of which encodes a fusion isoform that shares sequence identity with the products of each individual gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
