MITD1 FISH Probe
The MITD1 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the MITD1 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
Abscission, the separation of daughter cells at the end of cytokinesis, is effected by endosomal sorting complexes required for transport III (ESCRT-III). The protein encoded by this gene functions as a homodimer, with the N-termini binding to a subset of ESCRT-III subunits and the C-termini binding to membranes. The encoded protein regulates ESCRT-III activity and is required for proper cytokinesis. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
