HMGN2 Break Apart FISH Probe
Empire Genomics’ HMGN2 Break Apart FISH Probe is designed to flank the HMGN2 gene and is typically used for detecting HMGN2 rearrangements such as translocations. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe comes labeled in orange and green by default, but may be customized to meet your needs.

Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene binds nucleosomal DNA and is associated with transcriptionally active chromatin. Along with a similar protein, HMGN1, the encoded protein may help maintain an open chromatin configuration around transcribable genes. The protein has also been found to have antimicrobial activity against bacteria, viruses and fungi. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2014]
