FRMD4A FISH Probe
The FRMD4A FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the FRMD4A gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
This gene encodes a FERM domain-containing protein that regulates epithelial cell polarity. It connects ADP ribosylation factor 6 (ARF6) with the Par protein complex, which regulates the remodeling of adherens junctions and linear actin cable formation during epithelial cell polarization. Polymorphisms in this gene are associated with Alzheimer's disease, and also with nicotine dependence. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]
