EXOC8 FISH Probe
The EXOC8 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the EXOC8 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
This gene encodes a component of the exocyst complex, an evolutionarily conserved multi-protein complex that plays a critical role in vesicular trafficking and the secretory pathway by targeting post-Golgi vesicles to the plasma membrane. This protein is a target of activated Ral subfamily of GTPases and thereby regulates exocytosis by tethering vesicles to the plasma membrane. Mutations in this gene may be related to Joubert syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2016]
