DRP-2 FISH Probe
The DRP-2 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the DRP-2 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
Members of the dystrophin family of proteins perform a critical role in the maintenance of membrane-associated complexes at points of intercellular contact in vertebrate cells. The protein encoded by this gene is predicted to resemble certain short C-terminal isoforms of dystrophin and dystrophin-related protein 1 (DRP1 or utrophin). DRP2 is expressed principally in the brain and spinal cord. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010]
