CERNA2 Break Apart FISH Probe
Empire Genomics’ CERNA2 Break Apart FISH Probe is designed to flank the CERNA2 gene and is typically used for detecting CERNA2 rearrangements such as translocations. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe comes labeled in green and orange by default, but may be customized to meet your needs.

Gene Summary
This gene produces a long non-coding transcript that functions in ovarian carcinogenesis by promoting tumor cell migration, invasion and proliferation. It binds to the microRNA let-7b (MIRLET7B), which is a potent tumor suppressor, thereby inhibiting the functions of that microRNA by modulating its availability to its targets.
