CEP41 FISH Probe
The CEP41 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the CEP41 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
This gene encodes a centrosomal and microtubule-binding protein which is predicted to have two coiled-coil domains and a rhodanese domain. In human retinal pigment epithelial cells the protein localized to centrioles and cilia. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Joubert Syndrome 15; an autosomal recessive ciliopathy and neurological disorder. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
