ACER2 Break Apart FISH Probe
Empire Genomics’ ACER2 Break Apart FISH Probe is designed to flank the ACER2 gene and is typically used for detecting ACER2 rearrangements such as translocations. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe comes labeled in orange and green by default, but may be customized to meet your needs.

Gene Summary
The sphingolipid metabolite sphingosine-1-phosphate promotes cell proliferation and survival, whereas its precursor, sphingosine, has the opposite effect. The ceramidase ACER2 hydrolyzes very long chain ceramides to generate sphingosine (Xu et al., 2006 [PubMed 16940153]).[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2010]
