ZNF717-FOXP1 Fusion FISH Probe
The ZNF717-FOXP1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ZNF717 and FOXP1 genes. The fusion of the ZNF717 and FOXP1 genes has been associated with Colon Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

FOXP1 Gene Summary
This gene belongs to subfamily P of the forkhead box (FOX) transcription factor family. Forkhead box transcription factors play important roles in the regulation of tissue- and cell type-specific gene transcription during both development and adulthood. Forkhead box P1 protein contains both DNA-binding- and protein-protein binding-domains. This gene may act as a tumor suppressor as it is lost in several tumor types and maps to a chromosomal region (3p14.1) reported to contain a tumor suppressor gene(s). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Forkhead Box P1
Chromosome: CHR3: 71004735 -71633140
Locus: 3p13
ZNF717 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a Kruppel-associated box (KRAB) zinc-finger protein, which belongs to a large group of transcriptional regulators in mammals. These proteins bind nucleic acids and play important roles in various cellular functions, including cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis, and in regulating viral replication and transcription. A pseudogene of this gene was identified on chromosome 1. [provided by RefSeq, May 2016]
Gene Name: Zinc Finger Protein 717
Chromosome: CHR3: 75786028 -75834255
Locus: 3p12.3
