ZNF609-NPTXR Fusion FISH Probe
The ZNF609-NPTXR Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ZNF609 and NPTXR genes. The fusion of the ZNF609 and NPTXR genes has been associated with Uterine Carcinosarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ZNF609 Gene Summary
The Zinc Finger Protein 609 (ZNF609) gene is located on chr15 :64791618-64978266 at 15q22.31.
Gene Name: Zinc Finger Protein 609
Chromosome: CHR15: 64791618 -64978266
Locus: 15q22.31
NPTXR Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein similar to the rat neuronal pentraxin receptor. The rat pentraxin receptor is an integral membrane protein that is thought to mediate neuronal uptake of the snake venom toxin, taipoxin, and its transport into the synapses. Studies in rat indicate that translation of this mRNA initiates at a non-AUG (CUG) codon. This may also be true for mouse and human, based on strong sequence conservation amongst these species. Gene Name: Neuronal Pentraxin Receptor
Chromosome: CHR22: 39214455 -39240017
Locus: 22q13.1
