XPR1-TNR Fusion FISH Probe
The XPR1-TNR Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the XPR1 and TNR genes. The fusion of the XPR1 and TNR genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

TNR Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the tenascin family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins. The encoded protein is restricted to the central nervous system. The protein may play a role in neurite outgrowth, neural cell adhesion and modulation of sodium channel function. It is a constituent of perineuronal nets. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]
Gene Name: Tenascin R
Chromosome: CHR1: 175291934 -175712752
Locus: 1q25.1
XPR1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for the xenotropic and polytropic classes of murine leukemia viruses. The encoded protein is involved in phosphate homeostasis by mediating phosphate export from the cell. Defects in this gene have been associated with idiopathic basal ganglia calcification-6. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2016]
Gene Name: Xenotropic And Polytropic Retrovirus Receptor 1
Chromosome: CHR1: 180601145 -180859415
Locus: 1q25.3
