XPR1-NME7 Fusion FISH Probe
The XPR1-NME7 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the XPR1 and NME7 genes. The fusion of the XPR1 and NME7 genes has been associated with Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

XPR1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for the xenotropic and polytropic classes of murine leukemia viruses. The encoded protein is involved in phosphate homeostasis by mediating phosphate export from the cell. Defects in this gene have been associated with idiopathic basal ganglia calcification-6. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2016]
Gene Name: Xenotropic And Polytropic Retrovirus Receptor 1
Chromosome: CHR1: 180601145 -180859415
Locus: 1q25.3
NME7 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the non-metastatic expressed family of nucleoside diphosphate kinases. Members of this family are enzymes that catalyzes phosphate transfer from nucleoside triphosphates to nucleoside diphosphates. This protein contains two kinase domains, one of which is involved in autophosphorylation and the other may be inactive. This protein localizes to the centrosome and functions as a component of the gamma-tubulin ring complex which plays a role in microtubule organization. Mutations in this gene may be associated with venous thromboembolism. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2016]
Gene Name: NME/NM23 Family Member 7
Chromosome: CHR1: 169101768 -169337186
Locus: 1q24.2
