XPR1-LHX4 Fusion FISH Probe
The XPR1-LHX4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the XPR1 and LHX4 genes. The fusion of the XPR1 and LHX4 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

XPR1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for the xenotropic and polytropic classes of murine leukemia viruses. The encoded protein is involved in phosphate homeostasis by mediating phosphate export from the cell. Defects in this gene have been associated with idiopathic basal ganglia calcification-6. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2016]
Gene Name: Xenotropic And Polytropic Retrovirus Receptor 1
Chromosome: CHR1: 180601145 -180859415
Locus: 1q25.3
LHX4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of a large protein family which contains the LIM domain, a unique cysteine-rich zinc-binding domain. The encoded protein is a transcription factor involved in the control of differentiation and development of the pituitary gland. Mutations in this gene cause combined pituitary hormone deficiency 4. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
Gene Name: LIM Homeobox 4
Chromosome: CHR1: 180199432 -180244188
Locus: 1q25.2
