XPR1-ARHGEF11 Fusion FISH Probe
The XPR1-ARHGEF11 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the XPR1 and ARHGEF11 genes. The fusion of the XPR1 and ARHGEF11 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

XPR1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for the xenotropic and polytropic classes of murine leukemia viruses. The encoded protein is involved in phosphate homeostasis by mediating phosphate export from the cell. Defects in this gene have been associated with idiopathic basal ganglia calcification-6. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2016]
Gene Name: Xenotropic And Polytropic Retrovirus Receptor 1
Chromosome: CHR1: 180601145 -180859415
Locus: 1q25.3
ARHGEF11 Gene Summary
Rho GTPases play a fundamental role in numerous cellular processes that are initiated by extracellular stimuli that work through G protein coupled receptors. The encoded protein may form a complex with G proteins and stimulate Rho-dependent signals. A similar protein in rat interacts with glutamate transporter EAAT4 and modulates its glutamate transport activity. Expression of the rat protein induces the reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and its overexpression induces the formation of membrane ruffling and filopodia. Two alternative transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Rho Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor 11
Chromosome: CHR1: 156904631 -157015162
Locus: 1q23.1
