XPO1-HORMAD1 Fusion FISH Probe
The XPO1-HORMAD1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the XPO1 and HORMAD1 genes. The fusion of the XPO1 and HORMAD1 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

XPO1 Gene Summary
This cell-cycle-regulated gene encodes a protein that mediates leucine-rich nuclear export signal (NES)-dependent protein transport. The protein specifically inhibits the nuclear export of Rev and U snRNAs. It is involved in the control of several cellular processes by controlling the localization of cyclin B, MPAK, and MAPKAP kinase 2. This protein also regulates NFAT and AP-1. Gene Name: Exportin 1
Chromosome: CHR2: 61705068 -61765418
Locus: 2p15
HORMAD1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a HORMA domain-containing protein. HORMA domains are involved in chromatin binding and play a role in cell cycle regulation. The encoded protein may play a role in meiosis, and expression of this gene is a potential marker for cancer. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 6. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
Gene Name: HORMA Domain Containing 1
