WWP1-NUBPL Fusion FISH Probe
The WWP1-NUBPL Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the WWP1 and NUBPL genes. The fusion of the WWP1 and NUBPL genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

WWP1 Gene Summary
WW domain-containing proteins are found in all eukaryotes and play an important role in the regulation of a wide variety of cellular functions such as protein degradation, transcription, and RNA splicing. This gene encodes a protein which contains 4 tandem WW domains and a HECT (homologous to the E6-associated protein carboxyl terminus) domain. The encoded protein belongs to a family of NEDD4-like proteins, which are E3 ubiquitin-ligase molecules and regulate key trafficking decisions, including targeting of proteins to proteosomes or lysosomes. Alternative splicing of this gene generates at least 6 transcript variants; however, the full length nature of these transcripts has not been defined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: WW Domain Containing E3 Ubiquitin Protein Ligase 1
Chromosome: CHR8: 87354993 -87480178
Locus: 8q21.3
NUBPL Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the Mrp/NBP35 ATP-binding proteins family. The encoded protein is required for the assembly of the respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (complex I), an oligomeric enzymatic complex located in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Mutations in this gene cause mitochondrial complex I deficiency. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014]
Gene Name: Nucleotide Binding Protein Like
