WNT7B-DGCR8 Fusion FISH Probe
The WNT7B-DGCR8 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the WNT7B and DGCR8 genes. The fusion of the WNT7B and DGCR8 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

WNT7B Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the WNT gene family, which consists of structurally related genes that encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. Among members of the human WNT family, this gene product is most similar to WNT7A protein. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]
Gene Name: Wnt Family Member 7B
Chromosome: CHR22: 46316247 -46373008
Locus: 22q13.31
DGCR8 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a subunit of the microprocessor complex which mediates the biogenesis of microRNAs from the primary microRNA transcript. The encoded protein is a double-stranded RNA binding protein that functions as the non-catalytic subunit of the microprocessor complex. This protein is required for binding the double-stranded RNA substrate and facilitates cleavage of the RNA by the ribonuclease III protein, Drosha. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2010]
Gene Name: DGCR8, Microprocessor Complex Subunit
Chromosome: CHR22: 20067754 -20099400
Locus: 22q11.21
