WDR6-CPNE8 Fusion FISH Probe
The WDR6-CPNE8 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the WDR6 and CPNE8 genes. The fusion of the WDR6 and CPNE8 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

WDR6 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the WD repeat protein family. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately 40 amino acids typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD), which may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. The encoded protein interacts with serine/threonine kinase 11, and is implicated in cell growth arrest. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Gene Name: WD Repeat Domain 6
Chromosome: CHR3: 49044636 -49053386
Locus: 3p21.31
CPNE8 Gene Summary
Calcium-dependent membrane-binding proteins may regulate molecular events at the interface of the cell membrane and cytoplasm. This gene is one of several genes that encode a calcium-dependent protein containing two N-terminal type II C2 domains and an integrin A domain-like sequence in the C-terminus. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Copine 8
Chromosome: CHR12: 39046001 -39299420
Locus: 12q12
