VGF-SIAE Fusion FISH Probe
The VGF-SIAE Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the VGF and SIAE genes. The fusion of the VGF and SIAE genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma, and Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

VGF Gene Summary
This gene is specifically expressed in a subpopulation of neuroendocrine cells, and is upregulated by nerve growth factor. The structural organization of this gene is similar to that of the rat gene, and both the translated and the untranslated regions show a high degree of sequence similarity to the rat gene.
