USP39-REEP1 Fusion FISH Probe
The USP39-REEP1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the USP39 and REEP1 genes. The fusion of the USP39 and REEP1 genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

USP39 Gene Summary
The Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 39 (USP39) gene is located on chr2 :85843282-85876406 at 2p11.2.
Gene Name: Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 39
Chromosome: CHR2: 85843282 -85876406
Locus: 2p11.2
REEP1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a mitochondrial protein that functions to enhance the cell surface expression of odorant receptors. Mutations in this gene cause spastic paraplegia autosomal dominant type 31, a neurodegenerative disorder. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]
Gene Name: Receptor Accessory Protein 1
Chromosome: CHR2: 86441119 -86565206
Locus: 2p11.2
