USP16-C20ORF152 Fusion FISH Probe
The USP16-C20ORF152 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the USP16 and C20ORF152 genes. The fusion of the USP16 and C20ORF152 genes has been associated with Head And Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma . These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

USP16 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a deubiquitinating enzyme that is phosphorylated at the onset of mitosis and then dephosphorylated at the metaphase/anaphase transition. It can deubiquitinate H2A, one of two major ubiquitinated proteins of chromatin, in vitro and a mutant form of the protein was shown to block cell division. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
