ULK4-ANO10 Fusion FISH Probe
The ULK4-ANO10 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ULK4 and ANO10 genes. The fusion of the ULK4 and ANO10 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ULK4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the unc-51-like serine/threonine kinase (STK) family. Members of this protein family play a role in neuronal growth and endocytosis. The encoded protein is likely involved in neurite branching, neurite elongation and neuronal migration. Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) indicate an association of variations in this gene with blood pressure and hypertension. Sequence variations in this gene may also be be associated with psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Pseudogenes associated with this gene have been identified and are located on chromosome 15. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]
Gene Name: Unc-51 Like Kinase 4
Chromosome: CHR3: 41288089 -42003660
Locus: 3p22.1
ANO10 Gene Summary
The transmembrane protein encoded by this gene belongs to the anoctamin family of calcium-activated chloride channels, also known as the transmembrane 16 family. The encoded protein contains eight transmembrane domains with cytosolic N- and C-termini. Defects in this gene may cause autosomal recessive spinocerebellar ataxia-10. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2016]
Gene Name: Anoctamin 10
Chromosome: CHR3: 43407817 -43663560
Locus: 3p22.1-p21.33
