UBE2H-LMX1A Fusion FISH Probe
The UBE2H-LMX1A Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the UBE2H and LMX1A genes. The fusion of the UBE2H and LMX1A genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

LMX1A Gene Summary
This gene encodes a homeodomain and LIM-domain containing protein. The encoded protein is a transcription factor that acts as a positive regulator of insulin gene transcription. This gene also plays a role in the development of dopamine producing neurons during embryogenesis. Mutations in this gene are associated with an increased risk of developing Parkinson's disease. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]
Gene Name: LIM Homeobox Transcription Factor 1 Alpha
Chromosome: CHR1: 165171103 -165325952
Locus: 1q23.3
UBE2H Gene Summary
The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-protein ligases, or E3s. This gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. The encoded protein sequence is 100% identical to the mouse homolog and 98% identical to the frog and zebrafish homologs. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene and they encode distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]
Gene Name: Ubiquitin Conjugating Enzyme E2 H
Chromosome: CHR7: 129470572 -129592800
Locus: 7q32.2
