UBE2E2-SEMA3A Fusion FISH Probe
The UBE2E2-SEMA3A Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the UBE2E2 and SEMA3A genes. The fusion of the UBE2E2 and SEMA3A genes has been associated with Brain Lower Grade Glioma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

UBE2E2 Gene Summary
The Ubiquitin Conjugating Enzyme E2 E2 (UBE2E2) gene is located on chr3 :23244783-23632296 at 3p24.3.
Gene Name: Ubiquitin Conjugating Enzyme E2 E2
Chromosome: CHR3: 23244783 -23632296
Locus: 3p24.3
SEMA3A Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the semaphorin family and encodes a protein with an Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain, a PSI domain and a Sema domain. This secreted protein can function as either a chemorepulsive agent, inhibiting axonal outgrowth, or as a chemoattractive agent, stimulating the growth of apical dendrites. In both cases, the protein is vital for normal neuronal pattern development. Increased expression of this protein is associated with schizophrenia and is seen in a variety of human tumor cell lines. Also, aberrant release of this protein is associated with the progression of Alzheimer's disease. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Semaphorin 3A
Chromosome: CHR7: 83587658 -83824217
Locus: 7q21.11
