TXNDC15-ARPC2 Fusion FISH Probe
The TXNDC15-ARPC2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TXNDC15 and ARPC2 genes. The fusion of the TXNDC15 and ARPC2 genes has been associated with Glioblastoma Multiforme. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ARPC2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes one of seven subunits of the human Arp2/3 protein complex. The Arp2/3 protein complex has been implicated in the control of actin polymerization in cells and has been conserved through evolution. The exact role of the protein encoded by this gene, the p34 subunit, has yet to be determined. Two alternatively spliced variants have been characterized to date. Additional alternatively spliced variants have been described but their full length nature has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Actin Related Protein 2/3 Complex Subunit 2
Chromosome: CHR2: 219081873 -219119071
Locus: 2q35
TXNDC15 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the thioredoxin superfamily. Members of this family are characterized by a conserved active motif called the thioredoxin fold that catalyzes disulfide bond formation and isomerization. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2017]
Gene Name: Thioredoxin Domain Containing 15
Chromosome: CHR5: 134209459 -134237323
Locus: 5q31.1
