TUBB3-RSPRY1 Fusion FISH Probe

The TUBB3-RSPRY1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TUBB3 and RSPRY1 genes. The fusion of the TUBB3 and RSPRY1 genes has been associated with Mesothelioma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

TUBB3 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a class III member of the beta tubulin protein family. Beta tubulins are one of two core protein families (alpha and beta tubulins) that heterodimerize and assemble to form microtubules. This protein is primarily expressed in neurons and may be involved in neurogenesis and axon guidance and maintenance. Mutations in this gene are the cause of congenital fibrosis of the extraocular muscles type 3. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 6. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2010]

Gene Name: Tubulin Beta 3 Class III

Chromosome: CHR16: 89988416 -90002505

Locus: 16q24.3

RSPRY1 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a glycoprotein that contains a RING-type zinc finger domain and an SPRY domain of unknown function. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2015]

Gene Name: Ring Finger And SPRY Domain Containing 1

Chromosome: CHR16: 57220240 -57272947

Locus: 16q13
