TTYH3-MAD1L1 Fusion FISH Probe

The TTYH3-MAD1L1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TTYH3 and MAD1L1 genes. The fusion of the TTYH3 and MAD1L1 genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Skin Cutaneous Melanoma, and Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

MAD1L1 Gene Summary

MAD1L1 is a component of the mitotic spindle-assembly checkpoint that prevents the onset of anaphase until all chromosome are properly aligned at the metaphase plate. MAD1L1 functions as a homodimer and interacts with MAD2L1. MAD1L1 may play a role in cell cycle control and tumor suppression. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Gene Name: Mitotic Arrest Deficient 1 Like 1

Chromosome: CHR7: 1855427 -2272583

Locus: 7p22.3

TTYH3 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a member of the tweety family of proteins. Members of this family function as chloride anion channels. The encoded protein functions as a calcium(2+)-activated large conductance chloride(-) channel. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Gene Name: Tweety Family Member 3

Chromosome: CHR7: 2671602 -2704436

Locus: 7p22.3
