TTLL5-BATF Fusion FISH Probe
The TTLL5-BATF Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TTLL5 and BATF genes. The fusion of the TTLL5 and BATF genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

BATF Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear basic leucine zipper protein that belongs to the AP-1/ATF superfamily of transcription factors. The leucine zipper of this protein mediates dimerization with members of the Jun family of proteins. This protein is thought to be a negative regulator of AP-1/ATF transcriptional events. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Basic Leucine Zipper ATF-like Transcription Factor
Chromosome: CHR14: 75988783 -76013334
Locus: 14q24.3
TTLL5 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the tubulin tyrosine ligase like protein family. This protein interacts with two glucocorticoid receptor coactivators, transcriptional intermediary factor 2 and steroid receptor coactivator 1. This protein may function as a coregulator of glucocorticoid receptor mediated gene induction and repression. This protein may also function as an alpha tubulin polyglutamylase.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
Gene Name: Tubulin Tyrosine Ligase Like 5
Chromosome: CHR14: 76127550 -76421425
Locus: 14q24.3
