TTBK2-TGM7 Fusion FISH Probe

The TTBK2-TGM7 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TTBK2 and TGM7 genes. The fusion of the TTBK2 and TGM7 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

TGM7 Gene Summary

Transglutaminases (TGM; EC 2.3.2.13) are a family of structurally and functionally related enzymes that stabilize protein assemblies through the formation of gamma-glutamyl-epsilon lysine crosslinks. For additional background information on transglutaminases, see TGM1 (MIM 190195).[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2002]

Gene Name: Transglutaminase 7

Chromosome: CHR15: 43568478 -43594453

Locus: 15q15.2-q15.3

TTBK2 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a serine-threonine kinase that putatively phosphorylates tau and tubulin proteins. Mutations in this gene cause spinocerebellar ataxia type 11 (SCA11); a neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive ataxia and atrophy of the cerebellum and brainstem. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2009]

Gene Name: Tau Tubulin Kinase 2

Chromosome: CHR15: 43036541 -43213007

Locus: 15q15.2
