TSC22D3-AP3M1 Fusion FISH Probe
The TSC22D3-AP3M1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TSC22D3 and AP3M1 genes. The fusion of the TSC22D3 and AP3M1 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

TSC22D3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes the anti-inflammatory protein glucocorticoid (GC)-induced leucine zipper. Expression of this gene stimulated by glucocorticoids and interleukin 10 and it appears to play a key role in the anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects of this steroid. This protein has also been shown to inhibit pro-inflammatory molecules including nuclear factor κB. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]
Gene Name: TSC22 Domain Family Member 3
Chromosome: CHRX: 106956451 -107019017
Locus: Xq22.3
AP3M1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is the medium subunit of AP-3, which is an adaptor-related protein complex associated with the Golgi region as well as more peripheral intracellular structures. AP-3 facilitates the budding of vesicles from the Golgi membrane, and it may directly function in protein sorting to the endosomal/lysosomal system. AP-3 is a heterotetrameric protein complex composed of two large subunits (delta and beta3), a medium subunit (mu3), and a small subunit (sigma 3). Mutations in one of the large subunits of AP-3 have been associated with the Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome, a genetic disorder characterized by defective lysosome-related organelles. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]
