TRPM4-PPFIA3 Fusion FISH Probe
The TRPM4-PPFIA3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TRPM4 and PPFIA3 genes. The fusion of the TRPM4 and PPFIA3 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma, Kidney Renal Papillary Cell Carcinoma, Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma And Endocervical Adenocarcinoma, Prostate Adenocarcinoma, Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma, Pheochromocytoma And Paraganglioma, and Head And Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma . These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

PPFIA3 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the LAR protein-tyrosine phosphatase-interacting protein (liprin) family. Liprins interact with members of LAR family of transmembrane protein tyrosine phosphatases, which are known to be important for axon guidance and mammary gland development. Liprin family protein has been shown to localize phosphatase LAR to cell focal adhesions and may be involved in the molecular organization of presynaptic active zones. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: PTPRF Interacting Protein Alpha 3
Chromosome: CHR19: 49622662 -49654280
Locus: 19q13.33
TRPM4 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a calcium-activated nonselective ion channel that mediates transport of monovalent cations across membranes, thereby depolarizing the membrane. The activity of the encoded protein increases with increasing intracellular calcium concentration, but this channel does not transport calcium. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]
Gene Name: Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily M Member 4
