TRIT1-ABCA10 Fusion FISH Probe
The TRIT1-ABCA10 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TRIT1 and ABCA10 genes. The fusion of the TRIT1 and ABCA10 genes has been associated with Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ABCA10 Gene Summary
The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intracellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, and White). This encoded protein is a member of the ABC1 subfamily. Members of the ABC1 subfamily comprise the only major ABC subfamily found exclusively in multicellular eukaryotes. This gene is clustered among 4 other ABC1 family members on 17q24, but neither the substrate nor the function of this gene is known. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: ATP Binding Cassette Subfamily A Member 10
Chromosome: CHR17: 67144147 -67240956
Locus: 17q24.3
TRIT1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that that is targeted to the mitochondrion and modifies transfer RNAs (tRNAs) by adding a dimethylallyl group onto the adenine at position 37. This modification is important for maintaining the correct reading frame during protein translation. This gene is considered a tumor suppressor and its expression can decrease cell growth. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcripts variants, most of which are likely non-functional. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]
Gene Name: TRNA Isopentenyltransferase 1
Chromosome: CHR1: 40306705 -40349177
Locus: 1p34.2
