TRIO-UHRF2 Fusion FISH Probe
The TRIO-UHRF2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TRIO and UHRF2 genes. The fusion of the TRIO and UHRF2 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

TRIO Gene Summary
This gene encodes a large protein that functions as a GDP to GTP exchange factor. This protein promotes the reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, thereby playing a role in cell migration and growth. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]
Gene Name: Trio Rho Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor
Chromosome: CHR5: 14143828 -14509458
Locus: 5p15.2
UHRF2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a nuclear protein which is involved in cell-cycle regulation. The encoded protein is a ubiquitin-ligase capable of ubiquinating PCNP (PEST-containing nuclear protein), and together they may play a role in tumorigenesis. The encoded protein contains an NIRF_N domain, a PHD finger, a set- and ring-associated (SRA) domain, and a RING finger domain and several of these domains have been shown to be essential for the regulation of cell proliferation. This protein may also have a role in intranuclear degradation of polyglutamine aggregates. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants some of which are non-protein coding. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]
Gene Name: Ubiquitin Like With PHD And Ring Finger Domains 2
Chromosome: CHR9: 6413150 -6507051
Locus: 9p24.1
