TOM1-HMGXB4 Fusion FISH Probe
The TOM1-HMGXB4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TOM1 and HMGXB4 genes. The fusion of the TOM1 and HMGXB4 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

HMGXB4 Gene Summary
High mobility group (HMG) proteins are nonhistone chromosomal proteins. See HMG2 (MIM 163906) for additional information on HMG proteins.[supplied by OMIM, Nov 2010]
Gene Name: HMG-box Containing 4
Chromosome: CHR22: 35653444 -35691800
Locus: 22q12.3
TOM1 Gene Summary
This gene was identified as a target of the v-myb oncogene. The encoded protein shares its N-terminal domain in common with proteins associated with vesicular trafficking at the endosome. It is recruited to the endosomes by its interaction with endofin. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
