TNFAIP3-IL26 Fusion FISH Probe
The TNFAIP3-IL26 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TNFAIP3 and IL26 genes. The fusion of the TNFAIP3 and IL26 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

TNFAIP3 Gene Summary
This gene was identified as a gene whose expression is rapidly induced by the tumor necrosis factor (TNF). The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc finger protein and ubiqitin-editing enzyme, and has been shown to inhibit NF-kappa B activation as well as TNF-mediated apoptosis. The encoded protein, which has both ubiquitin ligase and deubiquitinase activities, is involved in the cytokine-mediated immune and inflammatory responses. Several transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2012]
Gene Name: TNF Alpha Induced Protein 3
Chromosome: CHR6: 138188580 -138204449
Locus: 6q23.3
IL26 Gene Summary
This gene was identified by its overexpression specifically in herpesvirus samimiri-transformed T cells. The encoded protein is a member of the IL10 family of cytokines. It is a secreted protein and may function as a homodimer. This protein is thought to contribute to the transformed phenotype of T cells after infection by herpesvirus samimiri.
