TIAM2-PPIL4 Fusion FISH Probe
The TIAM2-PPIL4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TIAM2 and PPIL4 genes. The fusion of the TIAM2 and PPIL4 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

TIAM2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a guanine nucleotide exchange factor. A highly similar mouse protein specifically activates ras-related C3 botulinum substrate 1, converting this Rho-like guanosine triphosphatase (GTPase) from a guanosine diphosphate-bound inactive state to a guanosine triphosphate-bound active state. The encoded protein may play a role in neural cell development. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: T-cell Lymphoma Invasion And Metastasis 2
Chromosome: CHR6: 155411422 -155578857
Locus: 6q25.2-q25.3
PPIL4 Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the cyclophilin family of peptidylprolyl isomerases. The cyclophilins are a highly conserved family, members of which play an important role in protein folding, immunosuppression by cyclosporin A, and infection of HIV-1 virions. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Peptidylprolyl Isomerase Like 4
Chromosome: CHR6: 149825630 -149867238
Locus: 6q25.1
