TGOLN2-FOXP1 Fusion FISH Probe
The TGOLN2-FOXP1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TGOLN2 and FOXP1 genes. The fusion of the TGOLN2 and FOXP1 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

TGOLN2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a type I integral membrane protein that is localized to the trans-Golgi network, a major sorting station for secretory and membrane proteins. The encoded protein cycles between early endosomes and the trans-Golgi network, and may play a role in exocytic vesicle formation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]
Gene Name: Trans-golgi Network Protein 2
Chromosome: CHR2: 85545140 -85555419
Locus: 2p11.2
FOXP1 Gene Summary
This gene belongs to subfamily P of the forkhead box (FOX) transcription factor family. Forkhead box transcription factors play important roles in the regulation of tissue- and cell type-specific gene transcription during both development and adulthood. Forkhead box P1 protein contains both DNA-binding- and protein-protein binding-domains. This gene may act as a tumor suppressor as it is lost in several tumor types and maps to a chromosomal region (3p14.1) reported to contain a tumor suppressor gene(s). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Forkhead Box P1
Chromosome: CHR3: 71004735 -71633140
Locus: 3p13
