TET2-LARP7 Fusion FISH Probe
The TET2-LARP7 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TET2 and LARP7 genes. The fusion of the TET2 and LARP7 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

LARP7 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein which is found in the 7SK snRNP (small nuclear ribonucleoprotein). This snRNP complex inhibits a cyclin-dependent kinase, positive transcription elongation factor b, which is required for paused RNA polymerase II at a promoter to begin transcription elongation. A pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 3. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2012]
Gene Name: La Ribonucleoprotein Domain Family Member 7
Chromosome: CHR4: 113558119 -113578742
Locus: 4q25
TET2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a methylcytosine dioxygenase that catalyzes the conversion of methylcytosine to 5-hydroxymethylcytosine. The encoded protein is involved in myelopoiesis, and defects in this gene have been associated with several myeloproliferative disorders. Two variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
Gene Name: Tet Methylcytosine Dioxygenase 2
Chromosome: CHR4: 106067841 -106200960
Locus: 4q24
