TBK1-CDK19 Fusion FISH Probe
The TBK1-CDK19 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TBK1 and CDK19 genes. The fusion of the TBK1 and CDK19 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

CDK19 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that is one of the components of the Mediator co-activator complex. The Mediator complex is a multi-protein complex required for transcriptional activation by DNA binding transcription factors of genes transcribed by RNA polymerase II. The protein encoded by this gene is similar to cyclin-dependent kinase 8 which can also be a component of the Mediator complex. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Gene Name: Cyclin Dependent Kinase 19
Chromosome: CHR6: 110931180 -111136412
Locus: 6q21
TBK1 Gene Summary
The NF-kappa-B (NFKB) complex of proteins is inhibited by I-kappa-B (IKB) proteins, which inactivate NFKB by trapping it in the cytoplasm. Phosphorylation of serine residues on the IKB proteins by IKB kinases marks them for destruction via the ubiquitination pathway, thereby allowing activation and nuclear translocation of the NFKB complex. The protein encoded by this gene is similar to IKB kinases and can mediate NFKB activation in response to certain growth factors. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2010]
Gene Name: TANK Binding Kinase 1
Chromosome: CHR12: 64845839 -64895899
Locus: 12q14.2
