TACC2-ZNF365 Fusion FISH Probe
The TACC2-ZNF365 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TACC2 and ZNF365 genes. The fusion of the TACC2 and ZNF365 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

TACC2 Gene Summary
Transforming acidic coiled-coil proteins are a conserved family of centrosome- and microtubule-interacting proteins that are implicated in cancer. This gene encodes a protein that concentrates at centrosomes throughout the cell cycle. This gene lies within a chromosomal region associated with tumorigenesis. Expression of this gene is induced by erythropoietin and is thought to affect the progression of breast tumors. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Transforming Acidic Coiled-coil Containing Protein 2
Chromosome: CHR10: 123748688 -124014057
Locus: 10q26.13
ZNF365 Gene Summary
This gene encodes several isoforms which have different expression patterns and functions. Mutation in this gene is associated with uric acid nephrolithiasis (UAN). Alternatively spliced variants, encoding distinct proteins, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
Gene Name: Zinc Finger Protein 365
Chromosome: CHR10: 64133915 -64431771
Locus: 10q21.2
